POM Key Properties

  • Low Cost: Compared to other polymer components, POM is very cost effective, making it the perfect material for applications that require a high volume of components.

    High stiffness and strength: POM has a high modulus of elasticity, which means it is stiff and provides good structural support. It also has good tensile strength, which makes it resistant to breaking or cracking under tension.

    Low friction and wear resistance: POM has excellent wear resistance, which makes it suitable for use in applications that require sliding or rotating parts. It also has a low coefficient of friction, which means it can slide easily against other materials.


  • High fatigue resistance: POM has excellent fatigue resistance, which means it can withstand repeated cycles of stress without losing its mechanical properties.

    Excellent dimensional stability: POM has low water absorption and is highly resistant to creep, which means it maintains its shape and size over time. It also has low thermal expansion, which means it does not expand or contract significantly with changes in temperature.

    Chemical resistance: POM is highly resistant to a wide range of chemicals, including alcohols, aldehydes, esters, and many acids and bases. This makes it suitable for use in harsh environments where exposure to chemicals is a concern.
