HPLC PEEK Large Head Finger Tight Fitting (10-32 UNF for 1/16" OD Tubing) conform to the following Standards/Norms:

The PEEK (Polyetheretherketone) HPLC Large Head Finger Tight Fitting is designed specifically for 1/16” capillary tubes used in High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) systems. The capillary tube and the HPLC system components are connected securely and without leaks thanks to this specialised fitting.

Thread size: 10-32 UNF

Thread length: 0.47" (12.00mm)

Material: PEEK

Features: Integrated ferrule / Finger-tight fitting.

Large head for finger tightening:

Enhanced Grip: The larger head provides a more substantial surface area for gripping, making it easier to tighten and loosen the fitting manually without the need for tool

Quick Installation: Facilitates quick installation and removal, reducing setup time and enabling efficient transitions between different chromatographic experiments or analyses.

No ferrules required:

Simplified Assembly: Integrated ferrules eliminate the need for separately positioning and compressing a ferrule onto the tubing or column, streamlining the assembly process.

Consistent Compression: Ensures uniform compression around the tubing or column, which enhances the reliability of the seal and reduces the risk of leaks.

Reduced Maintenance: Minimizes the likelihood of ferrule misalignment or dislodgement during operation, which reduces the need for frequent re-tightening or maintenance.

Manufactured in PEEK:

Chemical Resistance: PEEK exhibits excellent resistance to a wide range of chemicals and solvents commonly used in HPLC applications, ensuring compatibility and durability.

High Temperature Stability: PEEK can withstand high temperatures without deformation or degradation, making it suitable for HPLC systems that operate under elevated temperature conditions.

Mechanical Strength: PEEK fittings have superior mechanical properties, providing robustness and reliability in maintaining secure connections and preventing leaks.

Low Extractables: PEEK has low extractable levels, minimizing the risk of contamination to samples and ensuring accurate analytical results in chromatography.

Dimensional Stability: PEEK maintains its shape and dimensions under varying pressures and temperatures, contributing to consistent performance and longevity of the fitting.

Biocompatibility: PEEK is biocompatible, making it suitable for HPLC applications involving biological samples or pharmaceutical analyses where purity and safety are critical.

HPLC PEEK Large Head Finger Tight Fitting applications:

Column Connections:

HPLC PEEK large head finger-tight fittings are used to connect columns to other components of the chromatographic system, such as detectors or pumps. Their large heads facilitate easy manual tightening and loosening, allowing for quick column changes or maintenance.

Injector Ports:

These fittings are applied at injector ports in HPLC systems, where they ensure a secure and leak-free connection between the injector and the analytical column. The large head enables operators to tighten the fitting firmly by hand, minimizing the need for tools and simplifying routine operation.

Detector Connections:

In chromatography setups, HPLC PEEK large head finger-tight fittings are used to connect detectors to the chromatographic flow path. Their ergonomic design allows for comfortable handling and reliable sealing, ensuring accurate detection of analytes without the risk of leakage.

Guard Column Installation:

When installing guard columns in HPLC systems, PEEK finger-tight fittings with large heads are employed to secure the guard column in place. This facilitates easy replacement of guard columns during routine maintenance or method development without the complexity of using tools.

Tubing Connections:

HPLC PEEK large head finger-tight fittings are used to connect tubing within the chromatographic system. They provide a tight and secure seal between tubing sections or between tubing and other system components, enhancing overall system reliability and performance.

Pre-column Filters:

These fittings are utilized at pre-column filter locations in HPLC systems, ensuring effective filtration and clean sample introduction into the analytical column. The large head allows for easy adjustment and replacement of pre-column filters as needed during method optimization or sample preparation.

Mobile Phase Reservoirs:

In the setup of mobile phase delivery systems, such fittings are used to connect tubing from the mobile phase reservoirs to the HPLC system. Their finger-tight capability simplifies the setup process and ensures secure connections, maintaining the integrity of mobile phase delivery and chromatographic performance.
